Job Description – EV Charger Technician

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated EV Charger Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain EV charging stations. The candidate should have basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, safety standards, and field service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission AC & DC EV charging stations.
- Diagnose and repair faults in EV chargers.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of charging equipment.
- Inspect electrical wiring, MCBs, connectors, earthing, and power supply before installation.
- Replace defective electrical and electronic components whenever required.
- Test chargers after installation or repair to ensure proper functioning.
- Coordinate with customers and provide on-site technical support.
- Attend service calls and resolve customer complaints within the committed time.
- Maintain service reports, installation reports, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with the technical team for spare parts and warranty claims.
- Follow all electrical safety standards and company SOPs during installation and repair work.
- Educate customers on the safe operation and basic maintenance of EV chargers.
- Report unresolved technical issues to senior engineers for further support.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems.
- Familiarity with multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and basic electrical tools.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
- Basic computer and mobile application knowledge.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Willingness to travel for field service.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Qualification
- ITI (Electrician/Electronics) / Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering / B.Tech (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics).
- Certification in EV technology will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in EV charger installation and servicing.
- Experience with electrical panels, industrial wiring, or power systems.
- Knowledge of charger communication protocols and basic networking is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
