Job Summary
The Quality & IPQC Executive is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications. The role involves conducting in-process quality inspections (IPQC), final inspections, maintaining quality documentation, identifying process deviations, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to achieve zero-defect production.
Key Responsibilities
In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
- Conduct regular in-process inspections during production.
- Monitor critical process parameters and product quality.
- Perform hourly quality checks as per control plans.
- Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, Work Instructions, and Quality Standards.
- Verify first-off approval before mass production.
- Monitor machine setup changes and validate product quality after adjustments.
- Ensure rejection segregation and identification of non-conforming products.
Incoming & Final Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials, master batches, labels, and packing materials.
- Conduct final inspection before dispatch.
- Ensure product packaging, labeling, dimensions, appearance, and functionality meet customer specifications.
Testing & Measurement
- Perform dimensional inspections using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Thickness Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Conduct visual inspection for defects such as:
- Black spots
- Flash
- Short molding
- Sink marks
- Flow marks
- Silver lines
- Weld lines
- Warpage
- Burrs
- Color variation
- Perform quality tests as per inspection standards.
Documentation
- Maintain IPQC reports and inspection records.
- Prepare daily quality reports.
- Record process deviations and corrective actions.
- Maintain calibration records of measuring instruments.
- Ensure traceability documentation is updated.
Non-Conformance Management
- Identify quality issues during production.
- Raise NCR (Non-Conformance Report) whenever required.
- Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for corrective actions.
- Follow up on CAPA implementation.
Customer Quality Support
- Support customer inspections and audits.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints.
- Participate in root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis.
- Support implementation of customer-specific quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Improvement Projects.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Suggest process improvements for better product quality.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Plastic Packaging Manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Injection Molding, Blow Molding, PET, or Extrusion processes.
- Understanding of Quality Control Plans and Inspection Standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Familiarity with 7 QC Tools.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- CAPA implementation.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
