Job Description – Audit Executive (Physical Stock Audit & Verification )

Job Summary
The Audit Executive is responsible for conducting physical stock audits and inventory verification across all manufacturing plants of Vform Technopack Pvt. Ltd. The role involves verifying inventory accuracy, identifying stock variances, ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures, and submitting audit reports with recommendations. This position requires frequent travel to company plants and close coordination with Stores, Production, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Stock Verification
- Conduct physical verification of raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, consumables, and scrap at all plant locations.
- Verify stock quantities against ERP/system records and physical inventory.
- Identify shortages, excesses, damaged stock, and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure accurate counting and documentation during stock audits.
Inventory Audit
- Perform scheduled and surprise inventory audits across all plants.
- Verify inventory transactions, material movements, and stock adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor adherence to FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, stock variances, and recommendations.
- Submit audit findings within the prescribed timelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to stock audits.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company inventory policies.
- Identify process gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in implementing inventory control improvements across all plants.
- Support statutory, internal, and external audits whenever required.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Purchase, Finance, and Quality departments during audit activities.
- Follow up on audit observations until corrective actions are implemented.
- Report any significant inventory discrepancies immediately to management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of physical stock verification
- Timely completion of audit schedules
- Reduction in inventory discrepancies
- Timely submission of audit reports
- Compliance with inventory control procedures
- Closure rate of audit observations
- Accuracy of MIS reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Certification in Inventory Management or Internal Audit will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 0–1 year of experience in Internal Audit, Inventory Audit, Stores, Warehouse, or Finance.
- Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and willingness to travel are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of inventory management and stock verification.
- Knowledge of physical stock counting methods.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Tally ERP, or similar) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent observation and reporting abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively to all company plant locations.
- Ability to work in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
- Flexibility to conduct audits during weekends or month-end stock counts, if required.
- Physically fit to perform warehouse inspections and stock verification.
Working Conditions
- Frequent travel to manufacturing plants.
- Exposure to warehouse, production, and inventory storage areas.
- Coordination with cross-functional teams including Stores, Production, Finance, and Quality.
- Compliance with company safety policies and use of PPE during plant visits.
Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
