Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manager – Finance & Accounts to manage and streamline financial operations in an educational institution. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in accounting and compliance, and a solid understanding of financial processes in the education sector.
This role involves managing budgets, fee accounting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance to ensure transparent and efficient financial management that supports the institution’s academic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilies
Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and fund flow management.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Manage budge ng, forecas ng, and variance analysis for academic and opera onal departments.
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and educa onal board financial regulations.
Supervise fee collection, student billing, and reconciliation of receipts.
Coordinate with auditors (internal/external) and ensure timely completion of audits.
Manage accounts payable (vendor payments) and accounts receivable (fee management) processes.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and meliness.
Implement and maintain internal financial controls, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Assist management with financial planning, cost optimization, and resource allocation strategies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
3–5 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the education sector or service-based organizations.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS), GST, TDS, and compliance requirements.
Experience in budget management, audit coordination, and financial reporting.
Technical Skills
Accounting Software: QuickBooks, SAP, Tally ERP, or equivalent.
Financial Tools: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, MIS Dashboards).
Familiarity with student fee management systems or ERP used in education institutions (e.g., Fedena, Entab, or similar).
