Senior Frontend Engineer - SDK Lead

Shift: 10 AM – 7 PM
We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer - SDK Lead with strong experience in React, TypeScript, SDK/component library development, and real-time streaming applications.
Must Have skills: React 19 (Latest version), ShadCN, Tailwind CSS, Typescript, Tanstack Query
What You'll Do
- Architect a TypeScript-strict, ESM-only React SDK supporting dual streaming protocols (OpenAI SSE + AG-UI custom events)
- Solve hard real-time problems: streamed tool-call correlation, reasoning-token extraction across providers, AbortController lifecycle, and local-first storage with eviction
- Own release lifecycle: semver strategy, changesets, CHANGELOG curation, breaking-change coordination across peer dependencies
- Lead integration calls with consumer teams — triage issues, negotiate API contracts, define extensibility patterns (transport factories, request/response mappers, feature-flag presets)
- Establish test coverage for a high-complexity public API surface (currently a gap at v5.0.0)
Required
- 5+ years shipping React component libraries or SDKs consumed by multiple teams
- Deep TypeScript — generics, discriminated unions, strict mode, declaration emit
- SSE/streaming protocols, AbortController patterns, real-time state management (useReducer + Context, React Query)
- Release management discipline: semver, changelogs, monorepo tooling (Turborepo/changesets)
- Can run technical calls with product teams, negotiate tradeoffs, and write migration guides
Preferred
-AI/LLM chat interfaces — streaming completions, tool-call rendering, multi-model routing
React 19 (Server Component boundaries, use client directives)
Storybook 10.x, Biome, tsdown
Portkey AI gateway or similar multi-provider abstraction layers
