About the Role
The Wealth Finder is looking for a Data Analyst to join its Research team, which identifies and verifies shareholders to support the recovery of clients' lost shares and assets. This role sits alongside the Research Analysts and is focused on the data layer of that process — collecting, cleaning, structuring, and processing shareholder and case data so the research team can work with accurate, ready-to-use datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and procure shareholder and case-related data from online databases, public records, and other relevant sources.
- Clean, structure, and standardize raw data (names, father's name, address, and related fields) to remove duplicates, errors, and inconsistencies before it is used by Research Analysts.
- Process and organise large volumes of case data in Excel, including sorting, filtering, formula-based checks, and structured trackers/sheets used by the Research team.
- Write and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive data cleaning, collection, and processing tasks.
- Cross-verify collected data against multiple sources to flag mismatches or gaps before handing off to Research Analysts.
- Maintain organised, up-to-date data trackers and case files so status and history are easy for the team to reference.
- Work closely with Research Analysts to understand data requirements for active cases and turn around clean datasets within agreed timelines.
- Flag recurring data-quality or data-source issues to the Senior Research Analyst or Management.
- Support process improvements around how case data is collected, stored, and cleaned across the team.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data cleaning, or data collection/procurement.
- knowledge of Python for data cleaning and process automation (e.g. pandas or similar).
- Strong Excel skills for data processing — formulas, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, and structured data checks.
- Experience sourcing data from online databases, public records, and other online resources.
- High attention to detail — comfortable cross-checking and verifying data before it moves forward in a case.
- Organised and methodical; able to manage and process large volumes of case data without losing accuracy.
- Self-driven and comfortable working closely with Research Analysts to meet case turnaround timelines.
