Job Description – Engineering Manager (Mumbai/Pune location)
We are hiring for the role of Engineering Manager for the Credit Processing vertical in Issuing Business. In this role, you are expected to work on many projects at the same time, build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines, formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers.
Responsibilities we entrust you with
- Own delivery of product and project commitments for the team.
- Participate in product roadmap discussions and provide inputs in design, modelling, and architectural decisions.
- Own and drive project estimations and operations for implementing high quality solution delivery and technology upgrades in the product.
- Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes.
- Drive efficiency and productivity to produce high quality output.
- Create designs that improve the flexibility, functionality, and usability of the system components.
- Define the NFRs and build a system that meets the NFR requirements.
- Perform design and code reviews.
- Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.
- Use tools, techniques to enhance quality of code and design with focus on constant reduction of code debt.
- Suggest the best design and implementation methodology.
- Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.
- Build and develop the required competence in the team.
- Mentor the team members and prepare them for possible future roles.
Coach and guide team members in Agile frameworks to drive results/performance

Years of experience
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering
- Around 7 to 10 yrs of total exp working on delivery /Development /Team management etc
- Minimum 4 to 5 exp in working with Java Micro services related technology.
- Minimum 4 to 5 exp in working frontend technologies like ReactJS/AngularJS.
- Minimum 1 to 3 exp in working in mobile technologies like Android Native/iOS Native & React Native.
- Good understanding in commonly used Databases like SQL, NoSQL, with strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL for writing stored procedures, functions, and triggers, along with schema design and query optimisation
