Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Consultant to join our data analytics practice. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to our clients, bridging the gap between raw data and actionable business intelligence. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end analytics solutions—from data ingestion and complex modeling to high-impact visualization. The ideal candidate is a storyteller who can use data to influence executive decision-making and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities Client Advisory Partner with stakeholders to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and translate abstract business objectives into technical data requirements. Solution Design Develop and implement sophisticated Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights through intuitive UI/UX design. Advanced Data Engineering Utilize Power Query (M) for robust data transformation and DAX for complex measures and calculations. Data Modeling Design and maintain scalable relational data models, ensuring a "Single Source of Truth" across diverse datasets. Enablement & Training Conduct workshops and training sessions for clients to promote self-service BI and ensure the effective adoption of Power BI best practices. Governance & Security Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace permissions to ensure data privacy and compliance. Cross-functional Collaboration Work alongside Data Engineers and Project Managers to ensure data pipelines are optimized for reporting performance.
Mandatory Skills Power BI Mastery 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI, including expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas). Consulting Excellence Proven track record in a client-facing consultancy role, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver under tight deadlines. Analytical Thinking Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and identify trends or anomalies in large datasets. Multi-Tool Exposure Familiarity with other BI platforms (Tableau, Qlik) or the broader Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
