We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer at Kannampalayam in Sulur, Coimbatore.
Core Responsibilities:
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PPM): Create schedules for routine machine check-ups. Predictive maintenance uses special sensors to guess when a part will break before it actually does.
- Breakdown Management: Act quickly when a loom, spinning frame, or dyeing machine stops working. You troubleshoot the root cause, fix it, and resume production as fast as possible.
- Spare Parts Inventory: Track the warehouse stock of nuts, bolts, belts, and motors. You make new supply requests (indents) to ensure the factory never runs out of necessary components.
- Utility Management: Look after the power generators, air compressors, cooling towers, and water systems that keep the factory running.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety rules (like Lockout/Tagout procedures to keep power off during repairs) and make sure the factory passes local environmental and safety laws.
Key Skills Needed:
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of both electrical systems (like motor drives and PLCs or machine computers) and mechanical systems (like gearboxes, valves, and pumps).
- Problem-Solving: The ability to find the Root Cause of a recurring machine error so it stops happening.
- Record Keeping: Logging exactly when machines are serviced to measure MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), which helps calculate equipment reliability.
Education & Experience:
- Degree: A Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a textile, chemical, or continuous-processing factory.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
