A. Technical Responsibilities
Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot laboratory hardware, software, and computer systems.
Install, update, and maintain open-source and licensed software applications.
Ensure uninterrupted network connectivity, internet access, and adherence to cybersecurity protocols.
Set up, test, and maintain laboratory equipment related to electrical circuits, electronics circuits, and digital logic circuits.
Configure and maintain computer systems and software tools such as Orange, R-Language, SPSS, and JAMOVI.
Troubleshoot issues related to circuits, instruments, programming tools, simulation software, and laboratory systems.
Assist in configuring and updating compilers, simulators, Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), and other technical software.
Calibrate and maintain measurement instruments including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
Ensure laboratories are fully operational and prepared before every practical session.
Continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills related to emerging software and hardware technologies.
B. Academic Responsibilities
Assist faculty members in planning and conducting laboratory sessions as per the academic curriculum.
Support the preparation of laboratory manuals, experiment sheets, assignments, and practical exercises.
Manage the issue and collection of hardware toolkits, software resources, and related materials while maintaining proper records.
Provide support for student academic projects and practical activities.
Assist in conducting examinations, practical assessments, and invigilation duties.
Maintain laboratory stock registers and records.
Support the planning and execution of student induction programs and academic events.
C. Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain laboratory usage logs and related documentation.
Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory consumables, components, tools, equipment, and software licenses.
Track equipment utilization, schedule preventive maintenance, and report faults or repair requirements.
Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, safety standards, and institutional policies.
Coordinate with faculty members, vendors, and administrative departments for smooth laboratory operations.
