Job Summary
The Senior Support Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of Azure Active Directory services. This position focuses on providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and conducting root cause analyses to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain a robust security posture.
The Active Directory L2 Engineer is responsible for supporting the daily operations and maintenance of the enterprise Active Directory environment. The role focuses on maintaining directory services, managing user and group access, monitoring domain infrastructure, and resolving authentication or directory-related issues. The engineer will also support hybrid identity synchronization and ensure the stability and security of domain services across the enterprise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Adhere To Quality Standards And Regulatory Requirements While Implementing Best Practices In Azure Active Directory Management To Ensure Compliance And Security. 2. Provide Advanced Support For Complex Incidents Escalated By Analysts, Performing Root Cause Analysis And Implementing Effective Solutions To Resolve Technical And Security Issues In Azure Environments. 3. Contribute To Knowledge Management By Updating And Maintaining The Knowledge Base, And Deliver Training And Coaching To New Analysts To Enhance Their Capabilities In Azure Active Directory Support. 4. Resolve Complex Support Tickets Within Agreed Slas By Collaborating With Cross-Functional Support Teams, Ensuring Seamless Operations And Maintaining A Strong Security Posture In Azure Active Directory. 5. Enhance Customer Experience And Satisfaction By Achieving High First Call Resolution Rates, Minimizing Rejected Resolutions, And Effectively Mitigating Security Threats Within Azure Active Directory. Monitor the health and availability of Active Directory services including domain controllers, authentication services, and directory replication. • Respond to incidents and service requests related to user authentication, domain access issues, directory object management, and group policy application. • Manage and maintain directory objects including user accounts, service accounts, security groups, and organizational units. • Support management and maintenance of Active Directory forests, domains, and domain configurations. • Monitor Active Directory replication status and investigate replication issues affecting domain controllers. • Assist in management and troubleshooting of Azure AD Connect synchronization processes, including monitoring synchronization health and resolving sync failures. • Support configuration and maintenance of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and troubleshoot policy application issues across domain-joined systems. • Monitor directory services including LDAP availability, authentication logs, and domain service performance indicators. • Support domain controller operations including health checks, service monitoring, and coordination of operating system updates. • Assist with patching and security update activities related to domain controllers and directory infrastructure. • Perform routine checks on domain controller services including replication status, DNS integration, and directory service logs. • Support user and service account lifecycle management activities aligned with identity governance policies. • Assist in maintaining authentication services integrated with enterprise platforms such as identity governance systems. • Support

- Familiarity with Active Directory replication, domain controller operations, and directory infrastructure monitoring.
- Experience managing Group Policy Objects and troubleshooting policy-related issues.
- Knowledge of hybrid identity synchronization using Azure AD Connect.
- Basic understanding of authentication protocols such as Kerberos, LDAP, and DNS.
- Experience working with enterprise IT service management processes including incident, change, and problem management.
