About BITE
Banaras Institute of Teacher's Education, established in 2003 by the Purwanchal Educational Trust, is a multi-disciplinary institution at Babatpur, Varanasi. BITE is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (College Code 134), recognised by NCTE for its B.Ed, B.P.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes, and affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University with AICTE approval for its MBA (College Code 1284). The institute runs 17 programmes under the NEP 2020 framework across a 5-acre campus with digital classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and a library of over 15,000 books. In 23 years, BITE's 28 faculty have taught more than 5,000 alumni.
The Role
You will teach on BITE's AICTE-approved, AKTU-affiliated MBA, delivering the AKTU KMBN curriculum across four semesters — management core papers in the first year, dual-specialisation electives in the second, and the AICTE-mandated summer internship and final-semester dissertation.
The 2026–27 cohort is BITE's inaugural MBA batch of 60 AICTE-sanctioned seats. That is stated plainly because it should factor into your decision. There is no placement history to inherit and no established teaching culture to slot into. What there is instead: the ability to set both, from the first semester, in a programme whose reputation over the next decade will be built on what this batch does after graduation.
Full-time, on-site at Babatpur, Varanasi.
Responsibilities
Teaching
- Deliver the AKTU KMBN syllabus — core management papers in the first year and dual-specialisation electives in the second
- Teach through the case method alongside lectures, building discussion-driven classrooms rather than dictation-driven ones
- Bring applied content into the classroom: live company situations, current business news, and problems students will recognise from the region's own economy
- Contribute to at least two specialisation streams from Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, International Business, or IT
Internship and dissertation supervision
- Guide the AICTE-mandated summer internship — placement identification, scope definition, employer liaison, mid-term review, and report evaluation
- Supervise the final-semester dissertation from problem formulation through data collection, analysis, and viva
- Hold students to a standard that survives external examination under AKTU patterns
Assessment
- Set and evaluate internal assessment aligned to AKTU examination patterns
- Maintain records and documentation to the standard AICTE and AKTU inspection requires
Building the programme
- Mentor the inaugural cohort on placements and career pathways, working with CareerArc, BITE's career-guidance wing
- Develop industry links: guest sessions, industry visits, live projects, and internship pipelines with employers across Varanasi and Eastern UP
- Contribute to outcome tracking for the founding batch — the placement and higher-study record the programme will be judged on
- Contribute to curriculum enrichment within the AKTU framework, and to accreditation and inspection preparation
Qualifications
Essential
- MBA or PGDM from a recognised institution
- UGC NET or PhD in Management or a closely related field — required for this appointment
- Ability to teach at least two of: Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, International Business, IT
- Comfort with case-method teaching and industry-linked coursework
- Willingness to guide summer internships and dissertations
- Fluency in Hindi and English — much of the teaching is bilingual
Preferred
- Prior teaching experience on an AICTE-approved MBA, particularly under an AKTU or comparable technical-university framework
- Industry experience alongside academic credentials — students in a founding batch benefit disproportionately from a teacher who has worked outside the classroom
- Existing employer or recruiter relationships in Varanasi, Eastern UP, or the wider NCR/Lucknow corridor
- Familiarity with the KMBN paper structure and AKTU evaluation patterns
- Experience supervising dissertations and internship projects
- Publications in management, or case-writing experience
- Exposure to accreditation processes — AICTE, NBA, or NAAC
What we offer
- Remuneration: As per institutional norms, commensurate with qualification and experience. Discussed at interview.
- Genuine influence over a programme's shape from its first semester — teaching approach, industry links, and placement direction
- Institutional backing: BITE has run degree programmes at this campus for 23 years, with 5,000+ alumni across education, banking, business and public service
- A 5-acre campus with digital classrooms, laboratories, and a library of over 15,000 books
