Job Summary:
The Grade 2 Mother Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and child-friendly learning environment for students. The teacher will handle core subjects, support students' academic and personal development, and ensure effective classroom management while following the school's curriculum and policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons as per the curriculum and academic calendar.
- Teach core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), and other assigned subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching-learning materials.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments.
- Provide remedial support and enrichment activities based on student needs.
- Maintain student records, portfolios, and assessment reports.
Classroom Management
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline and encourage positive behavior among students.
- Organize classroom activities that promote creativity, communication, and teamwork.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of classroom resources.
Student Development
- Support the social, emotional, and moral development of students.
- Identify learning difficulties and coordinate with parents and school authorities when required.
- Encourage participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Parent Communication
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and provide regular updates on student progress.
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
- Maintain effective communication through diaries, emails, and school communication platforms.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete all academic documentation and reports on time.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with D.El.Ed./B.Ed. (preferred).
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of child-centered teaching methodologies.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.
Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in Primary School (Grade 1–3) preferred.
- Freshers with strong teaching aptitude may also apply.
