Job Title: Senior Associate (Prosecution)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and execute Office Action responses across multiple jurisdictions, including Europe (EPO), United States (USPTO), and India (IPO). The role requires strong technical understanding and legal aptitude to analyze examination reports, formulate effective prosecution strategies, and draft high-quality, legally sound responses aligned with client objectives.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze examination reports and prior art cited by patent offices (EPO, USPTO, IPO).

Draft clear, concise, and legally robust Office Action responses.

Develop and implement effective patent prosecution strategies in line with client objectives.

Interpret and respond to objections related to novelty, inventive step, and patentability.

Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and internal teams to gather technical inputs and strengthen responses.

Ensure consistency and quality in drafting across multiple jurisdictions.

Manage multiple patent cases and meet strict deadlines.

Coordinate with external stakeholders, including foreign associates and consultants.

Provide strategic inputs to clients regarding patent prosecution and claim scope.
Stay updated with changes in patent laws and examination guidelines across jurisdictions.

- Must have a Bachelor’s or Post-graduate engineering degree with 2 to 4 years’ experience in patent drafting & prosecution.
At least 1-2 yrs of experience in US/EP Prosecution.
Proven leadership skills and work as a driving force for others.
Knowledge of any specific technical area.
Proficiency in Spoken/written English.
Should have decision-making and analytical skills.
