Job Summary
The KST Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the kitchen stewarding operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. The role involves supervising stewarding staff, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the stewarding team
- Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized as per hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, garbage rooms, and back-of-house spaces
- Monitor and enforce safety and sanitation policies (HACCP standards)
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and stewarding equipment
- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices
- Coordinate with kitchen and F&B teams for smooth operations
- Train, guide, and motivate stewarding staff
- Prepare duty rosters and manage staff scheduling
- Handle breakdown and setup of kitchen equipment for operations and events
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with engineering department
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in stewarding or housekeeping (hospitality industry preferred)
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP)
- Computer Skills are a must
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Good communication skills
