Job Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for managing all HR and administrative functions of the shrimp exports processing plant, ensuring statutory compliance, manpower planning, employee relations, payroll coordination, contractor management, and smooth HR operations in a factory environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Manpower Planning
- Plan and fulfill manpower requirements for production, processing, packing, cold storage, quality, maintenance, and administration departments.
- Handle recruitment of workers, supervisors, executives, and staff.
- Coordinate with contractors and local agencies for seasonal and bulk hiring.
Employee Onboarding & Documentation
- Complete joining formalities, induction, and orientation programs.
- Maintain employee records, personal files, and HR documentation.
- Issue appointment letters, confirmation letters, ID cards, and other employment-related documents.
Attendance, Payroll & Time Office
- Monitor biometric attendance, shift rosters, overtime, and leave records.
- Coordinate payroll processing with the accounts/payroll team.
- Ensure accurate wage calculations for workers and contract labor.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Factories Act
- EPF
- ESIC
- Professional Tax
- Minimum Wages Act
- Payment of Wages Act
- Payment of Bonus Act
- Gratuity Act
- Contract Labour Act
- Standing Orders
- Labour Welfare regulations
- Coordinate inspections by labour, factory, PF, ESIC, and other government authorities.
Contractor & Labour Management
- Manage contract labour deployment and documentation.
- Verify contractor compliance and statutory records.
- Handle wage verification and contractor billing coordination.
Employee Relations
- Maintain healthy industrial relations within the plant.
- Resolve employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Conduct domestic enquiries when required.
- Implement disciplinary procedures and HR policies.
Training & Development
- Organize induction, safety, GMP, hygiene, food safety, and skill development programs.
- Coordinate training related to BRC, HACCP, FSSC, ISO, and export compliance requirements.
Performance Management
- Monitor employee performance and probation reviews.
- Coordinate performance appraisals and increment processes.
- Identify training and development needs.
Administration
- Oversee housekeeping, security, canteen, transport, hostel, and welfare facilities.
- Monitor security staff and visitor management.
- Ensure proper maintenance of HR and administrative records.
Compliance for Export Industry
- Support audits related to seafood export standards.
- Maintain labour records required for customer audits.
- Ensure compliance with buyer code of conduct requirements.
Required Experience
- 8–15 years of HR experience in a seafood processing, shrimp exports, food processing, FMCG, or manufacturing plant.
- Strong knowledge of factory HR operations and labour laws.
- Experience in handling a workforce of 300–2000 employees is preferred.
Educational Qualification
- MBA / MSW / PGDM in Human Resources.
- Degree in any discipline.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
