Core Responsibilities
- Installation: Safely install wiring, control panels, circuit breakers, lighting, and other electrical components.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and locate the cause of electrical malfunctions using testing devices (e.g., multimeters, voltmeters).
- Repair & Maintenance: Replace faulty wires, defective parts, or outdated fixtures, and perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical grids.
- Blueprint Reading: Read, interpret, and work from technical diagrams, schematics, and electrical blueprints.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols (such as lockout/tagout procedures) and local building regulations.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuits, and wiring systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Ability to effectively use hand and power tools.
- Physical Capabilities: Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments (cramped spaces, high heights).
- Critical Thinking: Strong diagnostic skills to identify problems and implement efficient solutions.
- Color Vision: Essential for distinguishing between color-coded wiring to prevent hazards.
Education & Requirements
- Training: Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or a degree/diploma from a technical/vocational college.
- Certification: Depending on local jurisdiction, a valid electrician's license.
- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of practical field experience is generally preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
