Job Title: President / Director – Skill Development & University Collaborations
Location: Hyderabad (Full-time)
About the Role
AVAAN is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head its Skill Development, Vocational Education, University Collaborations, CSR Initiatives, and Government Projects. The role will drive strategic growth, establish partnerships, oversee operations, and expand AVAAN's footprint across higher education and skill development ecosystems.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
- Lead the Skill Development and Vocational Education business vertical.
- Develop long-term growth strategies and annual business plans.
- Drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
- Manage P&L and ensure sustainable business expansion.
University Collaborations
- Establish partnerships with Universities, Colleges, Autonomous Institutions, and Educational Groups.
- Lead MoU negotiations and institutional alliances.
- Launch industry-integrated degree and vocational programs.
- Build relationships with Vice Chancellors, Registrars, Principals, and Governing Bodies.
Government & Skill Development Projects
- Lead implementation of Government-funded projects including:
- DDU-GKY
- NSDC
- PMKVY
- State Skill Development Missions
- Liaise with Central and State Government departments.
- Ensure compliance with project guidelines and reporting requirements.
CSR & Industry Partnerships
- Develop CSR-funded education and employability projects.
- Build partnerships with corporates, foundations, and industry bodies.
- Create sustainable skilling initiatives aligned with CSR objectives.
ITI & Vocational Education
- Establish and manage ITI and vocational training projects.
- Develop employability-focused training models.
- Strengthen apprenticeship and industry linkage programs.
- Ensure alignment with NSQF and NCVET frameworks.
Academic & Learning Excellence
- Lead curriculum design and outcome-based learning.
- Drive LMS implementation and digital learning initiatives.
- Launch new certification, diploma, and degree programs.
- Ensure quality standards across all academic offerings.
Business Development & Admissions
- Drive institutional growth through admissions and strategic partnerships.
- Identify new markets and expansion opportunities.
- Build high-performing business development teams.
- Achieve admissions, revenue, and placement targets.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with Government Authorities, Universities, Corporate Partners, CSR Organizations, Industry Associations, and Regulatory Bodies.
- Represent AVAAN at conferences, seminars, and policy forums.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Master's Degree / MBA from a reputed institution.
- 5 -12 years of experience in Education, Skill Development, or Vocational Training.
- Strong exposure to University Collaborations and Institutional Partnerships.
- Experience in Government Skill Development Projects (DDU-GKY, NSDC, PMKVY, NAPS, etc.).
- Hands-on experience managing CSR-funded projects.
- Understanding of ITI operations and vocational education.
- Strong business development and admissions leadership.
- Experience managing large teams and multiple projects.
- Excellent negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to build partnerships and scale education businesses.
