Job Profile
As a Senior Content Writer / Content Strategist, you'll own the content lifecycle—from research and planning to writing, editing, and optimization. You'll create content that aligns with business goals, ranks on search engines, and converts readers into customers.
This role is ideal for someone with strong agency experience, excellent SEO writing skills, and hands-on experience using AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining exceptional content quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Planning
- Develop content strategies aligned with client objectives and marketing goals.
- Conduct audience research, competitor analysis, and content gap analysis.
- Create editorial calendars and content roadmaps.
- Develop detailed content briefs for writers and designers.
Content Creation
- Write engaging, high-quality content for:
- Blogs and articles
- Website pages
- Landing pages
- Email campaigns
- Case studies
- Whitepapers
- Social media content
- Ad copy
- Adapt writing style for multiple industries and brand voices.
- Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and conversion-focused.
SEO Content Writing
- Produce SEO-optimized content based on keyword research and search intent.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists to improve organic rankings.
- Optimize existing content for better performance.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices including metadata, headings, internal linking, and keyword optimization.
Editing & Quality Assurance
- Review and edit content created by junior writers and freelancers.
- Ensure consistency in tone, grammar, style, and brand messaging.
- Maintain editorial standards across multiple client accounts.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Managers, SEO Specialists, Designers, and Marketing teams.
- Participate in content planning meetings and client discussions.
- Present content ideas and strategic recommendations when required.
AI-Powered Content Creation
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms for:
- Research
- Content ideation
- Outline generation
- Productivity enhancement
- Ensure all AI-assisted content is thoroughly edited, fact-checked, and refined to maintain originality, quality, and brand voice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of professional content writing experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a Digital Marketing Agency.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples across industries.
- Proven experience in SEO content writing with a solid understanding of search intent, keyword optimization, and on-page SEO.
- Hands-on experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar platforms.
- Experience using AI writing tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or equivalent.
- Excellent research, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of content marketing and digital marketing strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple client projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience writing for B2B and B2C brands.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and content performance metrics.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor junior writers and maintain editorial excellence.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
