Job Overview
We are a premier injection mould manufacturing company looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior EDM Operator with 1 to 2 years of experience. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC EDM machines to produce high-precision mould components. If you have basic drawing knowledge, understand the EDM process, and are eager to learn and grow within the mould-making industry, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC EDM machines (specifically Sodick, HSPK, or Chmer) to manufacture intricate injection mould components.
- Electrode Dialing: Perform precise electrode dialing, centering, and alignment before sparking.
- Process Execution: Carry out the complete EDM process, including setting cutting parameters, monitoring flushing, and managing wear on electrodes.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret basic engineering/tooling drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and job specifications.
- Quality Inspection: Use basic measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges) to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet design specs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience as an EDM Operator within the Injection Mould Manufacturing industry.
- Machine Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC EDM machines, preferably Sodick, HSPK, or Chmer.
- Technical Skills:
1. Basic blueprint/engineering drawing reading skills.
2. Solid understanding of electrode dialing and alignment.
3. Good knowledge of the entire EDM sparking process.
- Mindset: Highly motivated, reliable, and willing to learn new technologies and advanced mould-manufacturing methodologies.
- Education: ITI / Machinist / Diploma in Tool & Die Making (preferred but not mandatory if practical experience is strong).
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
