About Us
We are a passionate 5-member indie game development studio building a fast-paced action game. As a small team, every member plays a crucial role in shaping the final experience. We're looking for a creative and technically skilled 3D Animator who enjoys bringing characters, creatures, and gameplay to life.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality character animations for gameplay, combat, traversal,
- Animate player characters, enemies, bosses, weapons, and environmental interactions.
- Develop fluid animation loops, attack combos, hit reactions, dodges, deaths, and idle animations.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, programmers, and 3D artists to ensure responsive gameplay.
- Optimize animations for real-time performance.
- Maintain animation consistency across all game assets.
- Participate in gameplay reviews and iterate based on feedback.
- Assist in creating cinematic sequences and scripted in-game events.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of body mechanics, weight, timing, anticipation, and action animation principles.
- Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or similar 3D animation software.
- Experience creating animations for real-time games.
- Understanding of rigging fundamentals and animation controllers.
- Experience working with FBX pipelines.
- Knowledge of animation state machines and blend trees.
- Familiarity with Unity or Unreal Engine animation systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple animation tasks.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a small team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with motion capture cleanup.
- Knowledge of IK/FK workflows.
- Experience with stylized or realistic combat animations.
- Basic scripting knowledge (C#, Blueprint, or Python) is a plus.
- Understanding of VFX timing and gameplay feel.
- Passion for action games, hack-and-slash, souls-like, or third-person combat games.
