Job Description: Linux system administrator – Technical Lead (Exp: 8 - 12 Years)
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Linux system administrator as a Technical Lead to join our team. The Linux System Expert is a key technical role within the global infrastructure organization, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Linux‑based systems across hybrid, on‑premise, and cloud environments. The role supports mission‑critical applications, automation initiatives, platform modernization, and continuous service improvement in a fast‑paced, multinational IT landscape.

8+ years in system administration or IT infrastructure roles. Proven experience with complex environments and incident management.

Expert knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
- Strong command of Bash scripting and Linux internals (kernel, processes, system calls).
- Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of storage systems (NFS, iSCSI, multipath) and clustering (Pacemaker, Corosync).

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift)

Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust, identity integration, and PAM solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Linux Operations & Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in on premise and cloud environments.
- Manage file systems, LVM, user/group permissions, sudo policies, and system services.
- Perform patching, OS lifecycle management, vulnerability remediation, and performance tuning.
- Maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, and system level networking.
Automation & Infrastructure as Code:
- Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Develop configuration templates, provisioning scripts, and deployment pipelines.
- Implement standardized builds and golden images for Linux workloads.
Security and Compliance

Apply system hardening based on CIS, ANSSI, or internal security standards.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements, IT General Controls (ITGC), and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).

Implement and monitor security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and patch management.

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation.
Monitoring, Reliability & Optimization

Configure logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
- Troubleshoot kernel level issues, performance bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and develop corrective actions.
Cloud & Container Integration

Manage Linux environments running in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Support container runtimes (Docker, containerd) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/OpenShift).
- Optimize Linux nodes for microservices architectures.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting
- Analyze and resolve complex technical incidents escalated from Level 1/2 support.

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
