Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Puppet Construction: Separate 2D character designs and props into individual, animation-friendly layers (e.g., separating torsos, limbs, and facial features).
- Hierarchy & Pegs: Set up logical skeletal hierarchies and peg structures to allow for natural pivot points, rotations, and movement.
- Deformation & Skinning: Apply curve and envelope deformers to create smooth, organic bends and stretching (commonly used for arms, legs, and clothing).
- Master Controllers: Create advanced interfaces or sliders to streamline complex multi-part movements like hand-swaps, eye blinks, or 360-degree head turns.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Animate basic walk cycles and poses to stress-test the rig, identifying and fixing any glitches, mesh tearing, or unnatural intersections.
- Asset Management: Store reusable assets, template filters, and optimized character rigs in the studio library.
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Software Proficiency: knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony (including node views and advanced deformers).
- Anatomy & Movement: A strong understanding of human and animal anatomy, weight, and fluid motion.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to find the perfect balance between artistic aesthetic and technical efficiency.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to take director feedback and build rigs that strictly serve the specific needs of the animation team.
- Organization: Meticulous file organization, as rigs often contain hundreds of layers that need to be navigated by multiple animators.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
