Job Summary
We are seeking a Structural Draftsman with 1–2 years of experience in infrastructure projects, particularly bridges, flyovers, highways, metro, and related civil structures. The candidate will support structural engineers by preparing accurate structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction documentation using CAD/BIM software.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare structural drawings, detailing, and drafting for bridge and infrastructure projects.
- Develop General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), plans, sections, elevations, and reinforcement detailing.
- Prepare RCC and structural steel detailing drawings as per design requirements.
- Update drawings based on engineer comments and design revisions.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Maintain drawing standards, document control, and revision records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and project specifications.
- Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of bar bending schedules (BBS), where required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Basic knowledge of Revit Structure and BIM workflows.
- Understanding of bridge components such as piers, abutments, pile caps, decks, girders, retaining walls, and foundations.
- Knowledge of RCC detailing and structural drafting standards.
- Ability to read and interpret structural design drawings and engineering specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
