Job Position Design Engineer
Reports to Head – Project Engineering
Role Summary: Responsible for reviewing customer contracts, preparing technical
datasheets and detailed specifications, validating engineering
drawings, and managing BOM & ERP activities. Provides engineering
support to projects, coordinates with sales/marketing, and engages in
customer review meetings for smooth order execution.
Key Responsibilities /
Tasks:
Detailed Contract review of customer’s order
Preparation of technical data sheets i.e. for Pump, Seal
systems, Motors and other accessories
Preparation of detailed order specifications and purchase
specifications for major bought outs
Checking general arrangement drawing, cross sectional
drawings and fabrication drawings for customer approval.
Preparation and release of Bill of Material & ERP related
activities.
Assist Project manager and other departments for order
related engineering
Close coordination with sales & marketing team for pre and
post order activities
Organize and participate in review meetings with customer
and project consultants
KPI Safety (ESH aspect) : Maintain a safe working environment,
contribute to build safety awareness towards organization,
social & environmental aspect.
OTD : Completion of engineering deliverables within specified
timeline.
FTY: First Time Yield – High accuracy & Quality of engineering
deliverables.
Optimization : Identify areas for cost reduction & report
actions to achieve so. Suggest & implement new ideas for
standardization, process automation.
Required Qualifications
& Experience:
- Education: BE Mechanical
- Experience: Minimum + 15 years of working experience in Pump /
Contract
Engineering – Pumps / Project Consulting firms / Project Engineering
firms / EPC firms
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge about international standard of
Pumps & Mech. Seals, Design Engineering
Software Knowledge: Creo Parametric (3D/2D), AutoCAD,
Windchill
