About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Overseas Education Student Counsellor to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in guiding students through the international education journey — from career and course selection to university shortlisting, applications, and visa/immigration guidance for top study destinations including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, Ireland, and the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and parents on suitable overseas education options based on academic profile, career goals, and budget
- Provide accurate, up-to-date guidance on visa and immigration requirements for Australia, New Zealand, UK, Canada, Ireland, and the USA
- Assist students with university/course shortlisting, application documentation (SOPs, LORs), and submission
- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions, group sessions, webinars, and education fairs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with university representatives and admission partners
- Track and manage student pipelines using CRM tools; maintain accurate records of interactions
- Stay continuously updated on changing immigration policies, intake timelines, and scholarship opportunities across target countries
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in international/overseas education counselling
- Strong working knowledge of immigration and visa processes for Australia, New Zealand, UK, Canada, Ireland, and the USA
- Proven track record of successful student counselling and conversions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for student mentoring
- Familiarity with CRM tools and application portals is a plus
- Certifications such as ICEF, IDP, or British Council training are an added advantage
