Job Description:
The IAD EAE+ CoE Leader is responsible for leading the execution strategies for Projects & Services as well as supporting our Pre-sales & Innovation initiatives, in collaboration w/ globally distributed Open Automation Delivery, Pre-sales & Innovation Support Leads & regional IAD & proposal teams. This requires mandating engineering best practices, building and developing talent, technical capabilities and contributing to customer satisfaction & Quality. This role provides leadership to ensure the delivery of quality solutions to global clients, achieving customer satisfaction and targeted business objectives. Drives the adoption and compliance with global project engineering tools and processes and engages in strategic planning to meet business & open automation team objectives.
What will you do?

Projects/Services and Resource Management:
- Contribute to business growth by achieving Open Automation's targets through the delivery of successful, innovative, and high-quality projects
- Contribute to and support project proposals, including defining execution models, scopes of work, solutions, pricing estimates, schedules, and resource allocations for business opportunities & projects

Plan, ability to lead when/if required, and support key project & technical discussions (eg: project reviews, design workshops, KOMs, etc.)

Serve as the focal point for managing/addressing escalations related to CoE team challenges

Oversee CoE resource forecasts, allocations, and utilization/recovery plans

Collaborate pro-actively w/ relevant IAD & other SE stakeholders to define competencies/skills required for the Open Automation Engineer of the future & define a plan for how IAD resources can acquire these skills

Quality and Process Improvement:

Ensure proper quality reviews of CoE team deliverables by instituting the needed guidelines/controls in place & ensuring team compliance to those

Drive engineering excellence & consistency
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and ensure successful customer engagement for strong customer satisfaction
- Technical Excellence:
-
Support (and lead when required) FEED, beneficial studies, PoC, technical risk reviews and cold eye reviews of selected projects
- Explore alternatives and minimum compliant solutions for Projects and drive/support engineered solutions to meet customer requirements

Support Open Automation Innovation and Verification & Validation activities

Play an active role in knowledge management and sharing across the domain and wider team
Sales and Proposal Support:-
Early engagement on strategic opportunities and support sales with technical expertise during client presentations and product demos

Drive benchmark for technical solution & support estimations based on execution experiences

Participate in Deal winning sessions and CQA approval process when required

Review Compliance to Specifications and identify technical risks

(External) English Qualifications:
A recognized Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science or Process Control is desirable.
- 10+ years experience with automation systems projects execution/delivery, with minimum of 4 years in lead technical and/or project management role
- Experience with automation systems proposals in terms of validation/benchmarking, architecture generation, sizing & estimation tools is a plus
- Knowledge of open automation solutions, tools & standards is a plus
