Job Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall branch operations, business development, customer service, collections, team management, compliance, and profitability. The role ensures smooth branch functioning while achieving business targets and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesBranch Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch.
- Ensure smooth execution of chit registrations, auctions, collections, and payouts.
- Monitor subscriber onboarding, documentation, KYC, and account maintenance.
- Ensure timely disbursement of prized amounts after verification.
- Maintain accurate branch records and statutory documents.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and operational SOPs.
Business Development
- Achieve monthly and annual business targets.
- Increase chit enrolments through field marketing and customer acquisition.
- Develop business relationships with corporate clients, agents, and referral partners.
- Plan local promotional activities to generate new business.
- Identify opportunities for branch expansion.
Collections & Recovery
- Monitor daily collection efficiency.
- Ensure timely recovery of overdue installments.
- Minimize outstanding dues and delinquency.
- Coordinate with recovery executives for difficult cases.
- Maintain healthy collection ratios.
Auction Management
- Conduct chit auctions as per company policy.
- Ensure transparency and compliance during auction proceedings.
- Verify bidder eligibility before auctions.
- Prepare and maintain auction records accurately.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
- Resolve customer complaints within defined timelines.
- Build long-term relationships with subscribers.
- Ensure excellent service throughout the customer lifecycle.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise branch staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Coach employees on customer service and operational excellence.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Chit Fund regulations and company policies.
- Monitor KYC, AML, and documentation requirements.
- Ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Address audit observations promptly.
- Safeguard company assets and confidential information.
Financial Management
- Monitor branch revenue and profitability.
- Control operational expenses within budget.
- Ensure accurate cash management and daily reconciliations.
- Verify branch financial reports before submission.
Reporting
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Track branch KPIs and business performance.
- Provide updates on collections, business generation, customer issues, and operational activities.
- Report deviations and operational risks to management.
