Job Summary
The Store Keeper is responsible for maintaining inventory, receiving and issuing materials, keeping stock records updated, and ensuring proper storage of goods in the warehouse or store.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies.
- Maintain accurate stock and inventory records.
- Issue materials/products as per company procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
- Organize and store items properly for easy access and safety.
- Conduct regular stock verification and physical inventory checks.
- Prepare inventory and stock reports.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store/warehouse area.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments regarding stock requirements.
- Handle damaged or expired goods according to company policy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory/store management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, inventory software, ERP systems).
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move materials when required.
