Job Summary
Role Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS AMS Lead to manage and lead SAP landscape operations within a global Application Management Services (AMS) engagement. The role is responsible for ensuring SAP platform availability, performance, security, capacity management, system upgrades, patching, and operational excellence across SAP S/4HANA and associated SAP platforms. The ideal candidate should possess deep SAP BASIS expertise, strong AMS delivery experience, stakeholder management capabilities, and hands-on experience managing complex SAP environments across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid landscapes. Key Responsibilities AMS Service Delivery Leadership Lead SAP BASIS support operations across production, non-production, and disaster recovery environments. Own SAP platform availability, performance, and operational stability. Ensure compliance with SLA, KPI, and contractual commitments. Act as the escalation point for critical incidents and platform-related issues. Drive service reviews, governance meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives. SAP Landscape Administration Manage SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, PI/PO, Fiori, Gateway, GRC, MDG, CAR, and other SAP platforms. Perform system administration activities including: Client administration Transport management Kernel upgrades SP/EHP upgrades System refreshes and copies Performance tuning User administration Job scheduling and monitoring Background processing management SAP HANA Administration Administer SAP HANA databases including: System monitoring Backup and recovery Performance management High Availability (HA) Disaster Recovery (DR) Database sizing and optimization Security administration Incident & Problem Management Lead resolution of P1/P2 critical incidents. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive action planning. Drive problem management initiatives to reduce recurring platform issues. Participate in major incident bridges and executive communications. Change, Release & Upgrade Management Plan and execute:
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the end-to-end upgrade and migration projects for sap basis to s/4hana.
2. Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work.
3. Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and ensure smooth integration.
4. Conduct system assessments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as needed.
5. Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for sap basis s/4hana configuration and optimization.
6. Perform system backups, disaster recovery, and system enhancements to support business operations.
7. Stay uptodate with the latest sap technologies and recommend solutions for continuous improvement.
Skill Requirements
1. Proficient in sap basis administration and configuration.
2. Extensive experience in sap s/4hana upgrades and migrations.
3. Strong knowledge of sap landscape transformation and system integration.
4. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in sap environments.
5. Excellent project management skills with a focus on delivery and quality.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders effectively.
7. Certification in sap basis or s/4hana is preferred but not mandatory.
Other Requirements
1.SAP Certified Technology Associate System Administration (SAP HANA) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5 or equivalent is a plus.
