We are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team and elevate our food and beverage operations.
Job Summary
As the Sous Chef, you will be the second-in-command in our kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily culinary operations. You will manage kitchen staff, ensure exceptional food quality, maintain strict hygiene standards, and assist in menu engineering and cost control. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of hospitality culinary standards, and a passion for creating memorable dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen Leadership: Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, supervising kitchen staff, and scheduling shifts.
- Culinary Excellence: Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to ensure consistency across all resort dining outlets and banquets.
- Menu Engineering: Assist in developing and refining menus, creating innovative specials, and engineering dishes for maximum profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor stock levels, manage food waste, and ensure optimal portion controls to align with budgetary goals.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations (HACCP/FSSAI standards).
- Staff Training: Mentor, train, and motivate line cooks, trainees, and stewarding staff to foster a positive and productive kitchen culture.
