Job Description – PGT Mathematics (CBSE & CIE)
The PGT Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics to senior secondary students under the CBSE and Cambridge International Education (CIE) curricula. The candidate should possess strong academic expertise, excellent leadership abilities, and the capability to mentor students and guide the Mathematics department towards academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to Grades XI–XII under CBSE and CIE curricula.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and academic resources in line with curriculum requirements.
- Develop conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Prepare students for Board examinations and competitive examinations.
- Monitor academic performance and provide remedial support and mentorship where required.
- Lead and coordinate departmental planning, curriculum development, and academic initiatives.
- Mentor junior faculty members and contribute to teacher training and development.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom practices.
- Participate actively in school events, parent interactions, meetings, and boarding school responsibilities where applicable.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics with B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10+ years of teaching experience in CBSE and/or CIE curriculum.
- Proven leadership and departmental coordination experience preferred.
- Strong command over subject knowledge and examination patterns.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.
- Experience in a residential/boarding school environment will be an added advantage.
