Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Asset & Configuration Coordinator – ITAM (Software Asset Management) – L3 to manage and optimize the organization's software asset lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM), software licensing, compliance, IT asset lifecycle management, and Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The candidate will work closely with IT, Procurement, Security, Finance, and vendors to ensure software compliance, cost optimization, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of software assets from procurement to retirement.
- Maintain accurate software inventory and entitlement records.
- Ensure software license compliance and support internal/external software audits.
- Monitor software usage and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Perform software license reconciliation and compliance reporting.
- Maintain and update CMDB with accurate software and configuration item (CI) information.
- Coordinate software deployments, upgrades, renewals, and decommissioning.
- Manage software contracts, maintenance agreements, and renewals.
- Collaborate with Procurement and vendors for software purchases and licensing.
- Generate periodic SAM dashboards and management reports.
- Identify unused or underutilized software and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and software licensing agreements.
- Support ITSM processes including Incident, Change, Problem, Release, and Configuration Management.
- Participate in IT audits and ensure documentation readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement in ITAM and Configuration Management processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Experience with software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, IBM, etc.).
- Knowledge of IT Asset Lifecycle Management.
- Experience in Configuration Management and CMDB administration.
- Good understanding of ITIL Framework.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
- Knowledge of software compliance and audit processes.
- Advanced Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
