Job Summary
The ICU Technician is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of critical care equipment, monitoring patient support systems, and providing technical assistance to doctors and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care Support
- Assist doctors and nurses in providing critical care services.
- Prepare ICU beds, monitors, ventilators, and other equipment before patient admission.
- Support emergency and resuscitation procedures as directed.
- Assist in patient transportation within the hospital when required.
Equipment Management
- Operate and monitor ICU equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, suction apparatus, and oxygen delivery systems.
- Ensure all ICU equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and preventive maintenance records of equipment.
Clinical Assistance
- Assist in ECG recording, ABG sample collection (as per hospital policy), and other bedside procedures.
- Monitor and document equipment readings accurately.
- Assist in setting up equipment for various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow infection prevention and control protocols.
- Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.
- Adhere to patient safety and emergency response procedures.
Documentation
- Maintain records related to equipment usage and maintenance.
- Report equipment issues and patient-related observations to the concerned staff.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Sc in ICU Technology / Critical Care Technology / Allied Health Sciences.
Experience
- Fresher or Experienced candidates can apply.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of ICU and critical care equipment.
- Basic life support and emergency handling skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
