The Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, and services. Key Responsibilities
- Network and Systems Management
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT resources.
- Implement and manage data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Technical Support
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain an IT helpdesk system to manage user requests and incidents.
- Train and assist staff in the effective use of technology.
- Cybersecurity and Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies, firewalls, and antivirus measures.
- Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and IT governance standards.
- Software and Hardware Management
- Manage procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware and software assets.
- Oversee software licensing and version control.
- Support system upgrades and technology rollouts.
- IT Strategy and Innovation
- Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and fulfill IT needs.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and IT projects.
