The Horticulture Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all horticultural activities, including plant propagation, cultivation, irrigation, pest management, landscape maintenance, and nursery operations. The role ensures healthy plant growth, optimum productivity, quality standards, and efficient utilization of resources.
Key Responsibilities1. Horticultural Operations
- Plan and supervise daily horticultural activities including planting, pruning, fertilization, and harvesting.
- Manage nursery operations, plant propagation, and transplanting programs.
- Monitor plant health and ensure optimum growth conditions.
- Develop seasonal planting schedules and crop plans.
2. Landscape & Garden Management
- Oversee maintenance of gardens, lawns, landscapes, and ornamental plantings.
- Ensure aesthetic standards and environmental sustainability.
- Plan and implement landscaping improvement projects.
3. Irrigation & Resource Management
- Manage irrigation systems and water utilization.
- Monitor soil health and nutrient management programs.
- Ensure efficient use of fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs.
4. Pest & Disease Control
- Identify plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Develop and implement integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
- Ensure safe and effective application of pesticides and agrochemicals.
5. Team Management
- Supervise horticulture supervisors, gardeners, and nursery staff.
- Allocate work schedules and monitor workforce productivity.
- Conduct training on horticultural practices, safety, and plant care techniques.
6. Budgeting & Inventory Control
- Prepare annual budgets for horticultural operations.
- Monitor expenses and optimize resource utilization.
- Manage procurement and inventory of seeds, plants, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain records related to plant inventory, pesticide usage, and operational activities.
- Support audits and inspections as required.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per day
