About Symetrix Innovation Symetrix Innovation is a visionary business-family ecosystem builder based in Thane, Maharashtra. We design and deploy symbolic service robots across hospitality, retail, and cultural spaces. Our systems integrate hardware platforms from trusted vendors with advanced AI and storytelling layers developed by Syro Labs. Our mission is to harmonize tradition, technology, and stakeholder engagement through living systems and legacy-driven design.
Role Summary We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Robotics Engineer to be the core technical owner of our autonomous systems. You will lead the end-to-end process of building, programming, and deploying robotic fleets. This is a true full-stack robotics role bridging the gap between mechanical chassis assembly, ROS navigation, edge AI, and basic cloud IoT telemetry.
Key Responsibilities
- Hardware & Sensor Integration: Assemble and wire robotic systems, integrating OEM chassis, microcontrollers, BLDC motors, and sensors (LiDAR, 3D depth cameras, IMUs).
- ROS Navigation & SLAM: Develop, optimize, and maintain ROS/ROS2 navigation stacks, costmaps, and path-planning algorithms for autonomous movement in constrained spaces.
- Edge AI & Software: Deploy computer vision scripts (YOLO, OpenCV) on edge devices (Raspberry Pi) and manage the telemetry data payloads sent to our UI dashboards.
- Cloud & Fleet Bridging: Assist in setting up basic IoT communication pipelines (e.g., AWS IoT, REST APIs, WebSockets) to connect the robots to our central fleet management system.
- Field Deployment & Calibration: Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot robots on-site in live environments (hotels, exhibitions, retail), adapting the systems to physical edge cases.
The Tech Stack You Need
- Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
- Robotics: Working knowledge of ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, and control theory (PID, kinematics).
- Vision & Edge: OpenCV, YOLO deployments, and Linux (Ubuntu/Raspberry Pi).
- Hardware: Hands-on experience with embedded systems, circuit wiring, and actuator tuning.
- Cloud (Bonus): Familiarity with Docker, IoT telemetry, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Required Qualifications
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 0–2 years. Fresh graduates with highly impressive technical portfolios are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Proven Builders: Candidates who have actively participated in national-level robotics competitions (e.g., ABU Robocon, eYantra) or possess strong hands-on internship integration experience will be prioritized.
- Soft Skills: A hands-on problem solver who is comfortable debugging hardware and software simultaneously, with an adaptability for fast-paced, field-driven environments.
What We Offer
- The opportunity to shape symbolic robotics in India and work with cutting-edge autonomous hardware.
- Direct collaboration with leadership to shape the company's legacy architecture.
- A fast-paced environment where you will see the code you write deployed on physical machines in the real world.
