Quality Head – Food Processing / FMCG
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Head to lead quality assurance and quality control functions in a food processing/FMCG environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in food safety standards, audit management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage QA/QC operations across the organization
- Ensure compliance with ISO 22000, BRC, FSSAI, and GMP standards
- Maintain and improve QMS documentation, internal audits, and CAPA processes
- Prepare for and manage external audits and certifications
- Monitor HACCP plans, food safety practices, and quality parameters
- Collaborate with production, procurement, sales, and export teams
- Oversee labeling compliance and regulatory documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems
Experience
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
- 5–10 years of experience in QA/QC within food processing, FMCG, or organic products
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role
- Proven experience handling ISO 22000, BRC, and FSSAI audits
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and GMP requirements
- Proficiency in QMS documentation, internal auditing, and CAPA management
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Effective leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication skills in English and Kannada (Hindi preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams
Certifications & Regulatory Knowledge
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2018
- Familiarity with BRC Global Standards for Food Safety
- Understanding of FSSAI licensing, labeling, and compliance requirements
- Awareness of AGMARK, WHO-GMP, KVIC, TUV, Intertek, and WEConnect frameworks
- Knowledge of export quality and documentation for organic/natural food products

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mandya, Karnataka (Mandya): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
