The Counter Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing jewellery while delivering an exceptional shopping experience. The role involves understanding customer preferences, presenting jewellery collections, explaining product features and pricing, achieving sales targets, and maintaining showroom standards. The executive also supports inventory management, billing coordination, and customer relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and provide professional assistance throughout their visit.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable gold, diamond, silver, platinum, and gemstone jewellery.
- Demonstrate jewellery collections and explain designs, purity, hallmarking, certification, weight, making charges, and pricing.
- Build customer confidence through excellent product knowledge and courteous service.
- Achieve individual and showroom sales targets.
- Coordinate with the billing team to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Assist customers with product exchanges, repairs, customization requests, and after-sales service.
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure showroom cleanliness and presentation.
- Handle jewellery carefully and follow all security and inventory control procedures.
- Participate in stock verification, daily opening and closing stock checks, and inventory audits.
- Inform customers about ongoing offers, schemes, and loyalty programs.
- Maintain customer records and follow up to encourage repeat business.
- Stay updated with the latest jewellery trends, collections, and market developments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass); Graduate preferred.
- 6months–3 years of experience in jewellery retail sales preferred.
- Experience in gold, diamond, or luxury retail is an advantage.
