Job SummaryWe are seeking an accomplished and strategic Data Center Manager with over 15 years of experience in managing enterprise-scale data center operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mission-critical infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 uptime, driving operational excellence, leading cross-functional teams, and aligning data center strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Center Operations Management
● Lead end-to-end data center operations including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and facility infrastructure. ● Ensure 99.99%+ uptime and compliance with SLA commitments. ● monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
2. Infrastructure & Capacity Planning
● Develop long-term capacity planning strategies for compute, storage, power, and cooling. ● Manage hardware lifecycle ( Deployment, upgrades, decommissioning). ● Optimize rack space, power usage, and cooling efficiency (PUE optimization).
3. Facility & Environmental Management
● Coordinate with Datacenter Provider to understnd power systems (UPS, generators), HVAC systems, fire suppression. ● Coordinate with facility vendors and ensure preventive maintenance. ● Ensure compliance with industry standards (Tier standards, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.).
4. Team Leadership & Vendor Management ● Lead and mentor Datacenter and Network Team. ● Manage third-party vendors and SLAs. ● Drive performance management, workforce planning, and training initiatives.
5. Risk, Security & Compliance ● Ensure data center security (physical and logical). ● Lead disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP). ● Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. ● Ensure regulatory and audit compliance.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
● 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and data center operations.
● 5+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
● Experience managing enterprise or hyperscale data centers. Technical Expertise
● Server platforms (Dell, HPE, Lenovo , Cisco)
● Storage systems (SAN/NAS)
● Virtualization (KVM, Hyper-V)
● Networking (Core switching, routing, firewalls)
● Monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, DCIM tools)
● Knowledge of cloud and hybrid architectures
