Roles & Responsibilities – OT Staff Nurse1. Pre-Operative Responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries (cleanliness, sterilization, equipment readiness)
- Check surgical instruments, consumables, and OT supplies
- Ensure patient identity, consent forms, and pre-operative checklist are completed
- Assist in patient positioning and preparation for surgery
- Maintain aseptic techniques at all times
2. Intra-Operative Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and OT team during surgical procedures
- Handle surgical instruments and ensure correct counts (before, during, after surgery)
- Monitor patient’s condition and vital signs during procedures
- Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols
- Provide required instruments and materials promptly during surgery
3. Post-Operative Responsibilities
- Assist in shifting patient to recovery room/ICU
- Monitor patient condition immediately post-surgery
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures and nursing notes
- Manage and dispose biomedical waste as per protocols
4. Equipment & OT Management
- Ensure all OT equipment is functional and properly maintained
- Report any malfunction or shortage of equipment/supplies
- Coordinate with sterilization/CSSD department
- Maintain OT inventory and stock levels
5. Infection Control & Safety
- Follow strict sterilization and infection control guidelines
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols and NABH standards
- Ensure proper use of PPE and hygiene practices
6. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate OT records and surgical logs
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and administrative teams
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements
7. Patient Care & Communication
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and relatives
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care (if required)

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
