Role Summary
The Assistant General Manager – Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, managing key customer relationships, leading the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of business objectives through strategic planning and effective execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business and revenue targets.
- Lead and manage the sales team to drive high performance and accountability.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, architects, consultants, contractors, corporate clients, and key accounts.
- Drive business development through new customer acquisition and channel expansion.
- Monitor sales pipeline, order conversion, and business forecasting.
- Review sales performance regularly and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with Marketing to generate quality leads and enhance brand visibility.
- Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor pricing, profitability, and commercial terms to maximize business margins.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain healthy receivables.
- Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare monthly sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews for senior management.
- Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop the sales team while driving a performance-oriented culture.
- Ensure effective use of CRM/ERP systems and maintain accurate sales records.
- Represent the Company in customer meetings, industry events, exhibitions, and strategic business discussions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and ethical business practices.

Qualification
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is must.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Sales and Business Development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the Lighting, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Building Materials industry.
