About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Livelihood Management Intern to support initiatives focused on empowering communities, especially women and self-help groups (SHGs). The intern will work closely with field teams to enhance livelihood opportunities, improve income generation activities, and strengthen grassroots enterprises.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and execution of livelihood programs for SHGs
- Conduct field visits and interact with community members
- Support training sessions and workshops for skill development
- Help in identifying income-generating activities and market linkages
- Collect and analyze data related to SHG performance and impact
- Coordinate with stakeholders and partner organizations
- Prepare reports, case studies, and documentation
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in social work, rural development, or community engagement
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and data handling
- Ability to work in field environments and travel if required
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in in Social Work, Rural Development, Economics, Management, or related field
- MBA is a plus
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Experience working with NGOs, SHGs, or community-based projects
- Understanding of livelihood models (micro-enterprises, handicrafts, agriculture, etc.)
- Knowledge of local languages (Marathi/Hindi)
