We are seeking a skilled PHP & WordPress Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize WordPress websites and web applications. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of strong experience with PHP, WordPress theme/plugin development, website performance optimization, and database management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites and custom web applications.
- Create and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Write clean, scalable, and secure PHP code.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services.
- Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
- Manage MySQL databases and perform database optimization.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers.
- Ensure websites are responsive and compatible across devices and browsers.
- Maintain code quality through testing, debugging, and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–3+ years of experience in PHP and WordPress development.
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with WordPress hooks, REST API, and Gutenberg.
- Knowledge of website security best practices.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of responsive design principles.
- Ability to debug and optimize existing code.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WooCommerce customization.
- Knowledge of Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
- Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi.
- Understanding of SEO and Core Web Vitals.
- Experience with cloud hosting environments and cPanel.
- Basic knowledge of React.js for Gutenberg block development.
