Job Description - Business Development Officer (BDO) – Tamil Nadu

Important Note: Candidates must be residents of the preferred work location (Coimbatore).
Key Responsibilities
1. Territory Activation & Client Conversion
Build and convert the existing client base into regular, recurring accounts across all three product lines – Goldstar Eagle (Flooring Oxide), TAFU (Metal Primer), and PIL (Industrial Pigments).
2. Structured Sales Visits & Coverage
Execute planned daily visits to dealers, applicators, contractors, and industrial buyers within the assigned territory.
3. Multi-Brand Cross-Selling
Actively promote all three brands to relevant customers, including hardware dealers for Eagle and TAFU, and industrial buyers, manufacturers, and construction firms for PIL.
4. New Dealer & Distributor Addition
Identify, appoint, and onboard new hardware dealers, distributors, and industrial stockists across the assigned territory in Tamil Nadu.
5. Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking
Monitor and report competitor pricing, promotional schemes, product launches, and market activities on a weekly basis.
6. Outstanding Payment Collections
Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and maintain customer accounts within approved credit terms.
7. Sales Target Achievement
Achieve assigned monthly sales targets, market coverage objectives, and customer acquisition goals within the designated territory.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5–6 years of experience in Paints, Chemicals, Building Materials, Industrial Coatings, or related industries.
- Strong dealer network and market knowledge in Tamil Nadu.
- Good communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Requirements & Skills
Education: Any graduation (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred).
· Strong communication and negotiation skills.
· Leadership and team management abilities (preferred).
· Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
Work Mode
This is a field-based position — no daily office attendance required. Work will be carried out at designated field locations.
Transportation: Candidate must own a two-wheeler (mandatory).
Compensation
Fixed Salary: Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 27,000 per month
Travelling Allowance (TA): Rs. 3 per kilometer
ESI : Eligible after probation period.
