Role Overview
The Deputy Director Strategic Planning & Monitoring will work closely with the Vice Chancellor's Office to support institutional strategy formulation, execution, performance monitoring, and governance initiatives. The role will be responsible for translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, measurable KPIs, and data-driven decision support for University leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of institutional strategic and operational plans.
- Define, track, and monitor KPIs across academic and administrative units.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and performance monitoring frameworks.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior leadership.
- Coordinate with Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Support governance processes including Academic Council, Board of Management, and other institutional committees.
- Draft and review policies, SOPs, concept notes, reports, and institutional documentation.
- Monitor progress of strategic initiatives and identify risks, delays, and improvement opportunities.
- Support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
- Provide confidential executive support to the Vice Chancellor's Office.
Educational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Management, Public Policy, Education Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- PhD preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in Strategic Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, Governance, PMO, Academic Administration, or related functions.
- Prior experience working with senior leadership in higher education institutions is highly desirable.

- Strong understanding of institutional processes, governance, and operating procedures.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical ability with experience in data analysis, interpretation, reporting, and performance monitoring.
