Key Responsibilities1. Teaching and Instruction
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Teach subject areas such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, including experiments, demonstrations, and project-based learning.
- Integrate technology and laboratory work into instruction.
- Encourage scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and analytical thinking
- Prepare and conduct laboratory experiments safely and effectively.
- Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Enforce laboratory safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory inventory.
- Develop and administer quizzes, tests, practical exams, and assignments.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate academic records.
- Analyze assessment data to improve instructional strategies.
Classroom Management
- Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Address student behavior issues in accordance with school policies.
Student Support and Development
- Provide academic support and mentoring to students.
- Identify students needing additional assistance and collaborate with support staff.
- Encourage participation in science fairs, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or teaching qualification.
- Valid teaching certification/license (as required by local regulations).
- Experience teaching science at secondary level (preferred).
- Strong laboratory management skills.
- Knowledge of current science curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
