We are looking for a skilled 3D Artist to create game-ready 3D assets optimized for Unity. The role focuses on building high-quality 3D models with three Levels of Detail (LOD), clean topology, efficient UVs, and PBR textures, exported as GLB files for real-time use.
BLENDER user is preferred.
You will be working from a detailed client technical checklist (attached) that defines requirements for scale, topology, UVs, materials, textures, and file structure. Accuracy, optimization, and consistency are critical.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models with three Levels of Detail:
- High Poly (LOD0)
- Mid Poly (LOD1)
- Low Poly (LOD2)
- Ensure models are optimized for real-time use in Unity
- Perform UV unwrapping with efficient texel density and minimal wasted space
- Create PBR textures (Base Color, Normal, Metallic/Roughness)
- Follow metallic-roughness PBR workflow
- Export assets as GLB (GLTF 2.0) files compatible with Unity
- Ensure:
- Correct real-world scale (meters)
- Clean topology and normals
- Proper pivots/origins
- Consistent naming conventions
- Validate assets against the attached client checklist before delivery
Technical Requirements
- Proven experience creating game-ready 3D assets
- Strong understanding of:
- LOD optimization
- Topology & polycount reduction
- UV mapping & texel density
- PBR materials & textures
- Experience exporting GLB / GLTF 2.0
- Assets must work correctly in Unity
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Blender (preferred)
- Substance Painter / Designer or equivalent
- Ability to strictly follow technical documentation and checklists
Deliverables
- One GLB file per asset
- Three LOD meshes (LOD0, LOD1, LOD2)
- Clean UVs and optimized textures
- Unity-ready assets that pass the client’s validation checklist
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience creating product assets (bottles, packaging, props, retail items)
- Knowledge of performance optimization for mobile or VR
- Experience with large asset libraries and consistent pipelines
