Job Summary
The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, construction documents, and technical layouts using AutoCAD. The role supports architects and project teams by converting design concepts into accurate working drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design Documentation
- Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop working drawings based on design concepts provided by architects and designers.
- Produce detailed layouts for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Revise and update drawings based on project requirements and design changes.
Construction Documentation
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Generate detailed plans for floor layouts, facades, roofing, ceilings, doors, windows, and interior elements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with project specifications.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants, and project teams.
- Incorporate consultant comments and site modifications into drawings.
- Assist in preparing drawing submissions for client approvals and regulatory authorities.
- Support site teams by providing technical drawing clarifications.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, standards, and company drafting procedures.
- Conduct drawing reviews and quality checks before issue.
- Maintain consistency in drawing formats, layers, symbols, and standards.
Documentation Management
- Organize and maintain project drawing files and revisions.
- Track drawing revisions and issue records.
- Ensure proper archiving of project documentation and drawings.
Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Certificate in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field.
Experience
- 1 - 3 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsman, CAD Draftsman, or Architectural Technician.
- Experience in architectural consultancy, construction, real estate, infrastructure, or engineering projects preferred.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
