A Store Officer in a quartz manufacturing company manages the end-to-end inventory of heavy raw materials (silica, quartz grits, resins, and pigments), packaging supplies, and finished slabs. They ensure zero-delay raw material availability.
Core Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Oversee raw material receiving, storage, and issuance to the production floor.
- Stock Auditing: Perform daily/weekly cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against ERP records to prevent material shortages.
- Vendor & Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing teams to fulfill stock requirements and manage delivery schedules.
- Quality Compliance: Inspect incoming chemicals, resins, and quartz grits for defects or damages, and ensure environmental storage conditions (e.g., proper resin temperatures) are maintained.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce strict OSHA/safety protocols, ensuring the safe storage and handling of hazardous chemicals and heavy quartz slabs.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: 2–5+ years in warehouse or materials control, preferably within a heavy manufacturing or stone-processing facility.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in [ERP Software] and inventory management systems.
- Physical & Spatial Management: Ability to manage heavy, bulky materials and coordinate with forklift operators and logistics staff
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
